Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use this website, book a call, or work with Hackett Studio. By using the site or engaging our services, you agree to these terms and any written proposal, scope, or agreement we provide.
Services
Hackett Studio provides strategy, web, AI, creative direction, design, and related consulting services. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, and revision process will be set out in a proposal, invoice, or written agreement before work begins.
Client responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, timely feedback, required access, content, brand assets, and approvals. Delays in feedback, materials, or approvals may affect timelines and delivery dates.
Fees and payments
Fees, deposits, payment schedules, and due dates are listed in the relevant proposal or invoice. Unless stated otherwise, work may pause if payments are overdue. Deposits, booked work, and completed work may be non-refundable.
Changes to scope
Requests outside the agreed scope may require a new estimate, added fees, or timeline changes. We will confirm meaningful scope changes before continuing with that work.
Ownership and portfolio use
Once final payment is received, you own the final approved deliverables created specifically for you, unless otherwise agreed. Drafts, rejected concepts, internal methods, tools, templates, and pre-existing materials remain owned by Hackett Studio or their original owners. We may display completed work in our portfolio, case studies, social posts, and marketing unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Client content
You confirm that you have the right to use any content, images, data, trademarks, login details, or materials you provide. You are responsible for checking legal, regulatory, accessibility, advertising, and compliance requirements that apply to your business.
Confidentiality
We will treat private client information with care and will not intentionally share confidential materials except as needed to deliver the work, use trusted service providers, or meet legal obligations.
